This year the LSU Campus Club will celebrate its 98th year of providing friendship and camaraderie among faculty and faculty spouses of the LSU family. I would like to encourage each of you to invite new members of the LSU community to join our organization and make them feel welcome.
One of our proudest traditions is the providing of scholarships to children and grandchildren of Campus Club members. At our December event, we will continue this 41-year tradition by awarding two scholarships. In addition, we will collect children’s books to donate to an early literacy program at this time.
As you look through this site, be sure to note the Schedule of Events to attend as well as the listing of Special Interest groups. These provide ways for members to meet new people and become involved in our organization.
Campus Club members are eligible to attend all social events, including the Special Interest Groups. Members may contact the chairpersons for additional information and/or sign up to participate in one or more groups. Another important way members become involved in the Campus Club is by volunteering to participate in an event planning committee.
Your officers, committee chairmen, and I are looking forward to providing an exciting year of activities, and we hope that you will take advantage of the opportunities that the Campus Club offers.
